Julia Bandy is a "coast dweller", originally from New Jersey. She attended the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont where she first encountered the concept of slow food. Frequently she would find herself lost in the beauty of the New England forests, enjoying foraging mushrooms, wild herbs and anything she could bring home and cook for her friends. After a brief stay in San Francisco she moved to the Caribbean where she became more focused on a career in wine, finding the ever evolving nature of wine to be enthralling. She moved to Seattle in 2005 and is a graduate of the International Sommeliers Guild. Julia Joined the La Medusa family in 2008 and created a role for herself out of sheer enthusiasm for enology and viniculture. She is the first wine steward at la Medusa. Julia loves gardening, cooking and anything involving a good bottle of wine. Ok, any bottle of wine.
