Julie Andres loves to feed people. Whether its her parents, her husband, or a room full of guests at La Medusa, everyone receives the same love and attention in the food she prepares. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, CA, she started her culinary career at Macrina Bakery in Seattle. She eventually moved on to work with Tamara Murphy helping to open Brasa. From there Julie discovered La Medusa with then owners, Sheri Serino and Lisa Becklund. After two years, Julie returned to Macrina Bakery to learn more about pastry and dessert making with the idea that she would some day open a bakery with her husband Evan. In 2001, Julie returned to La Medusa and in 2003, she bought the restaurant.

When Julie is not cooking, she enjoys yoga, gardening, sprint triathalons, and dining out.
